Here are some tips that can increase your car's battery life:
- Do not leave the vehicle stationary for a long time: Here the rule is simple, the more days your car is stationary, the more likely it is that the battery will discharge and it will be necessary to change or charge it.
- Keep the battery clean. Did you know that dust and dirt can disrupt the electric current to circulate?
- Carry out periodic maintenance on the electrical part of the vehicle. This does for all vehicle components. The battery wouldn't be different, would it?
- Do not start the vehicle with electrical equipment connected (ex: headlights, radio, air conditioning ...) as it will require more battery effort.
- You should not disconnect the terminals while the vehicle is running.
- Keep the battery cable terminals always tight and in good condition.
- If you reconnect the battery, (ex: you have removed the part for some reason), start the vehicle and wait about 20 seconds before start driving.
- Check if the battery is correctly attached to the holder in order to avoid wearing out the part.
